Saints Row Brewing will return in the coming months after employees banded together to purchase the brewery following its previously announced closure.
In a message shared on social media this week, the brewery thanked customers for “all the love, support, and memories over the last 9 years,” adding that “Saints Row will return in a few months after a brief closure while there is a transition in ownership.”
The update comes after Saints Row Brewing had previously announced it would permanently close at the end of April following more than eight years in Montgomery County’s craft beer scene.
Co-founder Tony Prebula said the brewery’s staff ultimately stepped forward to carry the business into its next chapter. “The brewery has always been more than just beer. It’s been about people, connection, and community first and foremost,” Tony said. “I couldn’t think of a better send off than to pass the torch to the people who have embodied our goals and mission by making it their own.”
Founded in 2017 by Tony and Lacy Prebula, Saints Row became a staple in the county’s craft beer community, known as much for its welcoming atmosphere as its beer offerings.
Instead of a permanent goodbye, the brewery is now preparing for a return under the ownership of the very employees who helped build its culture and reputation over the years. “It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later,” the brewery wrote.
