Feng Hotpot is now open in Rockville, taking over the former Hot Pot City space at 199 E. Montgomery Avenue. The restaurant opened in March and specializes in traditional Chinese hotpot with a variety of broths and fresh ingredients.
The menu features broth options including Sichuan mala, beef tallow, mushroom, and tomato, along with hotpot staples such as lobster balls, shrimp paste, and handmade dumplings.
Feng Hotpot traces its roots back to Chengdu, China, where founder Feng Mingqiang launched the original concept in the Taikouli shopping district. The restaurant says the original location became known for long wait times and high customer demand due to its traditional hotpot offerings and flavors.
