Germantown Man Sentenced in Frederick County Sexual Assault Case Involving 13-Year-Old

A Germantown man will serve five years in prison after pleading guilty to charges stemming from the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in Frederick County, according to the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office.

On Thursday, Frederick County Circuit Court Judge Julie Stevenson Solt sentenced 25-year-old Adam Christopher Jaikaran to 20 years in the Department of Corrections, with all but five years suspended. Jaikaran pleaded guilty in October 2025 after being indicted by a grand jury. He has been held since his arrest in August 2024 and will receive credit for time served.

According to prosecutors, the investigation began on November 8, 2023, after a School Resource Officer at a Frederick County middle school was notified that a student disclosed she had been sexually assaulted.

Investigators determined the assault occurred during the early morning hours of November 5, 2023, at a Frederick County park after the victim and several juvenile friends met Jaikaran following communication through Snapchat.

During the investigation, witnesses provided detectives with a description of a white Tesla, photographs, and a temporary tag number linked to the vehicle. Authorities said the vehicle was registered to Jaikaran.

Detectives later obtained location data tied to the Tesla, which prosecutors said placed the vehicle near the park during the reported timeframe. Investigators also conducted interviews with the victim and witnesses that corroborated details surrounding the suspect, vehicle, and timeline.

In a victim impact statement, the victim wrote, “I don’t feel safe anymore. It’s exhausting living in fear all the time. What hurts the most is it affected my entire family too.”

State’s Attorney Charlie Smith emphasized the dangers children face online. “I can’t overstate the need for parents to have frank discussions with their kids,” Smith said. “Middle schoolers are such a vulnerable group, and defendants like Jaikaran are everywhere online looking to exploit them.”

Following his release, Jaikaran will be required to serve five years of supervised probation with standard conditions, along with COMET supervision, which includes GPS monitoring for high-risk offenders. He will also be required to register as a sex offender for 25 years.
