DMV Empanadas at 560 N. Frederick Ave. in the Gaithersburg Square shopping center has announced plans to open a new location soon at 10 N. Calvert Street in Baltimore.
The restaurant was previously located at 113 E. Diamond Ave. in Olde Towne Gaithersburg before relocating to its current Gaithersburg Square location. DMV Empanadas is known for offering more than 25 empanada flavors, including bacon and cheese, cheeseburger, and Old Bay shrimp varieties. According to an Instagram post, the new Baltimore location will also serve dishes including Chicken Milanese, Broaster Chicken, and Lomo Saltado.
DMV Empanadas has also become a longtime presence at farmers markets throughout the DMV region. According to the restaurant’s website, the business offers a variety of empanadas and Latin American dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with menu options ranging from shrimp and pork empanadas to other traditional favorites.
