Montgomery County police officers responded to Shady Grove Hospital after receiving a report of an adult male threatening staff with a knife in the triage area on Friday.
Officers were dispatched to the hospital in the 9900 block of Medical Center Drive at approximately 2:27 p.m.
When officers attempted to take the suspect into custody, he fled from the emergency department. Officers deployed Tasers but were unable to make contact. The suspect was ultimately apprehended and taken into custody. No staff members, patients, or officers were injured during the incident.
