Duck Donuts is preparing to expand its footprint in Maryland with a new location planned for Frederick.
According to a recent construction update shared on the store’s social media pages, the shop will be located at 1700 Kingfisher Drive in the Shops at Monocacy shopping center. The business described the location as being next to the row of stores that includes Five Guys and in the same row as Smoothie King.
Earlier this month, the donut chain shared that it would soon begin hiring for the new location and is aiming for an early August opening.
Known for its made-to-order donuts that can be customized with a variety of coatings, toppings, and drizzles, Duck Donuts was founded in North Carolina’s Outer Banks and has grown to more than 120 locations across the United States and internationally.
Here in Montgomery County, Duck Donuts continues to operate its Rockville location at 1327 Rockville Pike, which opened in early 2016. The company’s Gaithersburg location closed in August 2022 after a little more than five years in business.
