The future Dunkin’/Baskin-Robbins at 898 Muddy Branch Road is moving ahead quickly, with new “Dunkin’ Coming Soon” signage now installed just two weeks after construction activity was first reported at the site.
In addition to the temporary signage, preparations are being made for the installation of permanent exterior branding as interior construction work continues inside the former Starbucks location in the Muddy Branch Square shopping center.
When we previously reported on the project on June 10, crews had begun interior demolition and renovation work as the space transitioned from Starbucks to Dunkin’/Baskin-Robbins. At the time, no exterior signage had been installed.
The Starbucks at the site closed in September as part of a nationwide restructuring effort that resulted in the closure of five Montgomery County locations. The move was part of a broader $1 billion company initiative aimed at streamlining operations and reducing costs.
Renderings submitted as part of the project show the building rebranded with Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins signage. With construction now visible both inside and outside the building, the project appears to be making steady progress, although an official opening date has not yet been announced.
