Big Greek Cafe To Replace Noodles & Company

Big Greek Cafe is expanding in Frederick County with a new location planned for 5221 Buckeystown Pike in Westview Promenade, where it will take over the former Noodles & Company space. A Frederick County building permit posted at the site confirms the upcoming restaurant.

Noodles & Company closed its Westview Promenade location earlier this year, leaving the storefront vacant.   The new restaurant will mark Big Greek Cafe’s second Frederick County location, joining its Urbana restaurant in Village Square at Urbana, which opened in 2022.

Founded in Montgomery County in 2009 by twin brothers Nikos and Simos Marmaras, Big Greek Cafe was created to honor the dream of their late mother, Koralia Marmaras, who envisioned a restaurant serving the comforting Greek dishes she prepared for family and friends. The family’s restaurant roots span generations, with their father, Vassilios Marmaras, immigrating from the Greek island of Andros and working in the restaurant industry since 1968.

An opening date for the new Frederick location has not yet been announced.
