Rockville Announces Independence Day Holiday Schedule

The City of Rockville has announced its schedule changes and facility closures for the Independence Day holiday weekend, with City Hall and some city facilities closed Friday, July 3.

Most city services will continue operating as usual, including recycling, yard waste and refuse collection. Parking fees at city-owned meters will be suspended on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.

The Rockville Senior Center will be closed July 3 and 4. Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm and Twinbrook community centers, along with the Croydon Creek Nature Center, will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and closed on Saturday. The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will operate on its normal summer schedule Friday and Sunday but will close at 6 p.m. on Saturday. The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and box office will be open from 2 to 7 p.m. on Friday and closed on Saturday, while offices at Rockville Civic Center Park, including Glenview Mansion and the Glenview Mansion Art Gallery, will be closed both days.
