Permanent signage was installed this morning at the future Bobapop location in Aspen Hill, marking another visible step toward the bubble tea shop’s anticipated opening by this fall.
The new shop is taking over the former Aspen Hill Cleaners space at 13721 Connecticut Avenue in Aspen Hill Shopping Center, next to Five Below. Construction has continued in recent months as the space is transformed into Montgomery County’s newest Bobapop location.
Bobapop has continued expanding throughout the DMV, with locations in Alexandria, Baltimore, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Merrifield, and Rockville. The Gaithersburg shop in the Kentlands holds special significance as the company’s first U.S. location, opening in 2018 and helping introduce the brand to a wider audience.
Known for its French Bulldog logo, which honors the founder’s beloved pet, Bobapop was created by two Maryland residents inspired by the worldwide popularity of bubble tea. The menu features teas sourced from Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and India, along with a wide selection of toppings, many made in-house. The shop also offers lactose-free, caffeine-free, and gluten-free options.
