The Montgomery County Board of Elections announced that its Board of Canvassers will meet on Monday, July 6, at 10am to canvass the remaining standard mail-in ballots cast in the 2026 Gubernatorial Primary Election.
Following the completion of that session, an additional canvass will take place on Tuesday, July 7, at 10am for original ballots when the original ballot was the only ballot cast by a voter. According to the Board of Elections, this additional canvass is the result of the mail-in ballot printing issue that occurred in May.
Members of the public may observe both canvass sessions either in person or virtually. A livestream link is available on the canvass schedule at 777vote.org. All canvass sessions will be held at the Montgomery County Board of Elections Training and Canvass Center, located at 18753 N. Frederick Avenue, Suite 203, in Gaithersburg.
