Maryland’s sports wagering market generated $7.6 million in contributions to the state during June 2026, capping a fiscal year that returned $132.3 million to state programs. The Fiscal Year 2026 total, covering July 2025 through June 2026, was a 48.8% increase from the $88.9 million generated in Fiscal Year 2025.
Sports bettors wagered $523.3 million during June and won back $468.8 million in prizes, with sportsbook operators holding 10.4% of all wagers placed. Of the June contributions, $5.7 million was directed to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund, while nearly $1.9 million went to the state’s General Fund. Over the full fiscal year, sports wagering generated more than $99.7 million for public education through the Blueprint Fund and $32.6 million for the General Fund. Since legal sports betting launched in December 2021, the Blueprint Fund has received more than $277 million in proceeds.
