Montgomery County Recreation is inviting soccer fans to gather in Wheaton for a free watch party for the championship match on Sunday, July 19.
The Final Watch Party begins at 1pm in the back parking lot of the Montgomery County Recreation Administrative Headquarters at 2425 Reedie Drive. The event is free and open to the public.
The parking lot will be transformed into a grassy viewing area where fans can enjoy food, drinks, games, and watch the match on two jumbo screens. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.
Before kickoff, children can participate in a soccer skills-and-drills activity from 1pm to 2:30pm. The event is part of Montgomery County Recreation’s effort to bring the community together for one of soccer’s biggest matches, with activities for all ages before and during the game.
