Montgomery County Police have arrested and charged a 20-year-old Bowie man after he allegedly stalked a woman at the Orchard Center shopping center in Silver Spring, followed her home and attempted to enter her residence.
Detectives believe there may be additional victims who encountered the suspect while shopping at the center and are asking anyone who may have been targeted to come forward.
According to investigators, the incident occurred on Friday, July 10, when the victim was shopping at Kohl’s in the 12000 block of Cherry Hill Road. Police say Adrean Walls allegedly stalked the woman while engaging in an act of indecent exposure before following her through the parking lot in his vehicle, nearly striking two other vehicles. Investigators say he then followed the victim to her home and attempted to enter through a window before fleeing after being confronted by a family member inside the residence.
Following an investigation, detectives identified Walls as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant on Thursday, July 16, charging him with stalking, attempted fourth-degree burglary and indecent exposure. He was arrested on Tuesday, July 21, and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond.
Detectives are asking anyone who shops at the Orchard Center and believes they may have been stalked or followed by Walls to contact the Montgomery County Police 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Solvers of Montgomery County.
