The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin resurfacing Piney Branch Road between Eastern Avenue and Sligo Avenue on Tuesday, August 5, according to the City of Takoma Park.
The project is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete, with construction scheduled Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
To keep traffic moving during the work, crews will close one lane at a time while flaggers direct vehicles safely through the construction zone. Drivers should expect minor delays and are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the area while work is underway.
