Two adults were transported to an area hospital Thursday afternoon after a stairwell under construction collapsed inside a home in the 1400 block of Bradley Avenue in Rockville.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) were dispatched to the home at approximately 4:29 p.m. for a reported structural collapse. Upon arrival, firefighters found that only the stairwell, which was under construction, had collapsed. There was no collapse involving the rest of the structure.
MCFRS assisted in removing the two injured adults, one man and one woman, from the home. Both were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening traumatic injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
