Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown is urging consumers who purchased vehicles from Lindsay Ford of Wheaton to watch their mail for claims notices that could make them eligible for significant refunds.
The notices stem from an April 2026 settlement reached by the Maryland Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division and the Federal Trade Commission involving Lindsay Ford of Wheaton, Lindsay Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram in Manassas, Virginia, and Lindsay Chevrolet in Woodbridge, Virginia.
Under the settlement, eligible consumers who purchased or leased vehicles from the dealerships may be entitled to refunds for amounts they paid above the vehicle’s advertised price. Customers who purchased vehicles from Lindsay Ford of Wheaton may also be eligible for refunds on add-on products or services, such as vehicle service plans, maintenance plans, paint protection plans, GAP insurance, or similar products, if they did not agree to purchase them or believed they were required as part of the sale.
Claims forms are being mailed by Rust Consulting, the claims administrator overseeing the settlement. Consumers will have 180 days from the date the claim form is mailed to submit a claim.
Consumers with questions about their eligibility can contact Rust Consulting at 1-833-472-1989 or the Maryland Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division at 410-576-6456.
