The Bethesda building that was home to Mayflower restaurant for more than two decades has been sold for $1.125 million, according to Maryland Newsletters.
The small, approximately 1,050 SF building is located at 7925 Norfolk Avenue in Bethesda’s Woodmont Triangle. According to Maryland Newsletters, the Quang-Lienhai Living Trust sold the property to 7925 Norfolk LLC. Assessment records identify the LLC’s resident agent as Lan Yin of Bethesda.
The sale comes just a few months after Mayflower closed its doors following more than two decades serving the Bethesda community. The longtime restaurant was known for its affordable pricing and had developed a loyal following over the years.
As we reported in May, Mayflower closed after its lease expired and a renewal agreement could not be reached with the landlord, according to a report by Robert Dyer. At the time, the restaurant’s owner was reportedly hopeful that a new location could be found nearby, allowing Mayflower to reopen in Bethesda.
No new location for Mayflower has been announced at this time, and it remains unclear what the new owner has planned for the Norfolk Avenue property.
