Jazmin Cuisine, a family-owned restaurant that has been serving the Gaithersburg community for more than 15 years, is preparing to open a second location.
The restaurant has operated at 7601-F Airpark Rd. since 2010. A representative for Jazmin Cuisine told The MoCoShow that the new location will be at 108 E Diamond Ave. in Olde Towne Gaithersburg, nearly five miles and about a 15-20 minute drive from the original restaurant. The space was formerly home to Don Jorge’s, which closed at the end of summer 2024.
Demolition work recently began at the E Diamond Ave. property, and the restaurant told us it is currently targeting a mid-2027 opening. Both Gaithersburg locations are expected to operate simultaneously once the new restaurant opens.
Jazmin Cuisine was founded in 2010 by Chef German Benitez as a family venture. According to the restaurant, its team shares a passion for Tex-Mex food and traditions. The menu includes breakfast, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, nachos, tacos, taco salads, fajitas, sandwiches, wraps, wings, salads, soups and desserts, along with its Plato Grande offerings, side orders and a kids menu.
We will provide an update as construction progresses and additional information about the new location becomes available.
