Butchers Alley is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Bethesda with a community cookout featuring free burgers, tastings and raffles.
The butcher shop will hold its anniversary celebration Saturday, Aug. 29 outside its store at 4961 Bethesda Avenue from 11am-2pm. Butchers Alley will serve its hand-ground, handcrafted burgers free to the first 150 guests.
The celebration will also include tastings and a raffle with prizes including a Butcher’s Pick Box featuring spatchcock chicken, New York strip and a rack of ribs, a paella party for four and a $100 catering gift card.
Butchers Alley opened in Bethesda in 2016 and focuses on local and sustainably sourced products. The shop carries butcher cuts of beef, pork, poultry and lamb, along with house-made sausages, local bacon, prepared foods and a selection of local and international artisan products.
Its sister business, Pescadeli, is located across the street and has operated for more than 50 years. Pescadeli specializes in fresh fish and seafood, prepared foods, catering, house-made paella and Spanish products.
