A portion of Christopher Avenue in Gaithersburg will be closed overnight for three consecutive nights due to crane work being performed by Costco, according to the City of Gaithersburg.
Christopher Avenue will be closed between MD-355 and Russell Avenue from Monday, August 31, through Wednesday, September 2. The closure will be in effect from 9pm until 6am each night.
The affected section of Christopher Avenue provides access to the Costco and other businesses in the surrounding Gaithersburg shopping area. Drivers traveling through the area during the overnight hours should allow additional time, plan accordingly and use alternate routes when possible.
Gaithersburg Police also shared notice of the planned closure, “Christopher Avenue will be closed between MD-355 and Russell Avenue from Monday, August 31 through Wednesday, September 2, between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. each night. Please plan accordingly and use alternate routes as needed.”
