Permanent signage is now up at Crust & Crumb, a new bakery and cafe taking over the former Roy Rogers location at 718 Rockville Pike in Rockville.
The interior appears to be nearing completion, and someone working inside the space told The MoCoShow that the business is expected to open sometime in September. Additional details about the menu and ownership remain limited.
Roy Rogers permanently closed in December after operating at the location for many years. A commercial real estate listing from KLNB later identified Crust & Crumb as the future tenant, and the City of Rockville subsequently issued a permit for interior renovations.
According to commercial real estate platform Crexi, there was “fierce competition” among national tenants for the space, and Crust & Crumb is backed by what the listing described as a strong operator. The bakery and cafe will be located next to Hangry Joe’s.
