Patrick “Pat” Morrogh, a former owner and operator of the popular Quarterdeck Restaurant in Arlington, VA, has died, the restaurant announced.
Quarterdeck remembered Morrogh as a welcoming presence who helped transform the seafood restaurant into a place where patrons became friends, employees became family and countless memories were created. “His impact on the people who worked for him and those who walked through the doors extended far beyond the restaurant itself,” Quarterdeck stated.
After leaving Quarterdeck, Morrogh remained involved in the hospitality industry and built a successful wholesale business from the ground up. The restaurant described him as an entrepreneur whose charm and ability to connect with others served him throughout his life.
Those who knew Morrogh will remember his generosity, kindness, humor and deep appreciation for his friendships, according to the restaurant. Quarterdeck also noted the significant influence of his grandfather, whom Morrogh considered his favorite person.
“We’ll raise a glass to you, honor your name, and carry your spirit with us forever at Quarterdeck,” the restaurant stated.
