Most City of Gaithersburg offices and facilities will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.
The following facilities will remain open with modified hours:
- Police Department administrative offices from 8am-9pm
- Community Museum and Interactive Water Feature at Olde Towne Plaza from 10am-7pm
- Water Park from noon-5pm for city residents and aquatics members only
- Miniature Golf Course from noon-6pm
- Skate Park from noon until sunset
Recycling will be collected Saturday, Sept. 5, instead of its regularly scheduled day. Bulk pickup will not be available.
Trash and garbage collection for city residents is handled by private contractors. Residents should contact their homeowners association or private contractor for holiday collection schedules.
The Gaithersburg Labor Day Parade will begin at 10am Monday, Sept. 7. The Mayor and City Council’s regular session will take place Tuesday, Sept. 8.
