Montgomery County Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel were dispatched at approximately 8:04pm to the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Hewitt Avenue for a report of a pedestrian struck.
An adult male was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said the striking vehicle remained at the scene.
Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route and expect delays in the area. Additional information has not been released.
