Local nonprofit organizations providing community services and enrichment programs to Rockville residents are invited to apply for funding through the city’s Fiscal Year 2028 Community Services and Enrichment Grant Program.
The application period opens Tuesday, September 8, with submissions due by 5pm Friday, October 16. Approximately $1.5 million in funding is expected to be available, with typical awards ranging from $10,000 to $100,000.
For the FY 2028 funding cycle, Rockville is encouraging applications for programs that advance at least one of the city’s five Impact Focus Areas:
- Household stability
- Economic mobility
- Youth and family success
- Service access and navigation
- Community enrichment and belonging
Grant funding typically supports adult education, arts and culture, food and clothing services, healthcare, housing services, resources for immigrant communities, public safety, senior services and youth development.
Applications may address any of those service areas, but competitive proposals should also explain how the program contributes to one or more of the five Impact Focus Areas.
Beginning in March 2027, organizations requesting $10,000 or less will also be able to apply through Rockville’s new Community Empowerment Mini-Grant program.
