$1,000,000 Winning Lottery Ticket Sold at Maryland 7-Eleven

A Baltimore County man’s trip to pick up pizza for his family turned into a $1 million Maryland Lottery scratch-off win.

The Gwynn Oak resident told Maryland Lottery officials that his wife sent him to pick up dinner from a new pizza spot about two weeks ago. Disappointed by the size of the pizza, he drove off and stopped at a nearby 7-Eleven, where he purchased three $20 Extreme Green scratch-off tickets.

The man played the tickets the following day before work. After scanning the final ticket, he received a message showing a $1 million win.

“I thought something was wrong and scanned it several more times before it sunk in,” he told Lottery officials.

The couple claimed the prize on August 31. The winner said they plan to become debt free and eventually open a business.

The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven at 9856 Liberty Road in Randallstown, which will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the ticket. Four $1 million top prizes remain on the Extreme Green game.
