Andy’s Pizza has been named the winner of Washington City Paper’s “Best Pizza” award in the publication’s 2026 Best of D.C. readers’ poll, competing against restaurants throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
Founded by Montgomery County native Andy Brown, Andy’s Pizza operates 14 locations across the DMV, including three in Montgomery County. Its MoCo restaurants can be found in Downtown Bethesda, Gaithersburg, and Westfield Montgomery Mall.
The growing pizza brand is known for its New York-style pizza, featuring a thin, crisp crust with a slight char inspired by classic New York slices. The recognition follows another major honor for Andy’s Pizza. Earlier this year, the company was named Fast Casual Restaurant of the Year at the 2026 RAMMY Awards, one of the Washington region’s highest honors for the restaurant industry.
Red Hound Pizza in Takoma Park was the only other Montgomery County restaurant among the award’s finalists.
