The overnight closure of a portion of Christopher Avenue in Gaithersburg will continue later this month, according to an update from the City of Gaithersburg.
Christopher Avenue will be closed between MD-355 and Russell Avenue from Monday, September 14, through Wednesday, September 16. The closure will be in effect from 9pm until 6am each night. The closure was initially scheduled for August 31 through September 2 due to crane work being performed by Costco.
The affected section provides access to Costco and other businesses in the surrounding Gaithersburg shopping area. Drivers traveling through the area overnight should allow additional time and use alternate routes as needed.
