Little Caesars Planning New Location at Walter Reed in Bethesda

Little Caesars is planning to open a new location at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda as part of the pizza chain’s expansion across U.S. military installations.

The Bethesda restaurant is among several new Little Caesars locations planned for Navy installations nationwide. Development of the Walter Reed location is being led by BAXIMUS, a restaurant operating company founded by Phil Thomas and Kris Wellmaker. The company operates multiple restaurant concepts on military installations across the country.

“Our goal has always been to bring quality restaurant experiences to military communities,” Wellmaker said. “Little Caesars stood out because of its reputation for quality, value, and convenience.”

BAXIMUS recently introduced a Little Caesars food truck to serve military events and installations where traditional dining options may be limited. The company is also leading the chain’s expansion at Naval Base San Diego.

The expansion follows Little Caesars’ first military base restaurant, which opened at Pearl Harbor in 2025. Other planned locations include Naval Station Mayport in Florida, the Navy Exchange at Port Hueneme in California and Naval Air Station Lemoore in California.

Little Caesars currently has Montgomery County locations in Aspen Hill, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Rockville and Takoma Park. The company has not yet announced an opening date or exact location within the Walter Reed campus.
