The Kentlands Bar Crawl will return on Saturday, October 3, from 4pm-10pm, with proceeds benefiting For 3 Sisters, a nonprofit supporting Montgomery County residents affected by breast cancer.
The fall event will bring participants to six Kentlands establishments throughout the evening. For 3 Sisters provides financial assistance and education to help ease burdens for those affected by breast cancer and promote early detection.
The community tradition began more than 20 years ago and added a charitable mission in 2023. Organizers Kristin Johnston, Sue Kravitz, Debbie Freedman, Sumbal Sheldon and Joleen Johnson help lead the event.
Earlier this spring, the crawl drew more than 200 participants and raised more than $2,000 for the Montgomery County Humane Society. According to Johnston, the event has raised more than $5,500 for local organizations over the past four years. The October 3 schedule is as follows:
- 4pm – Sin and Grin
- 5pm – The Grilled Oyster Co.
- 6pm – Coal Fire
- 7pm – Bonefish Grill
- 8pm – Grape Escape
- 9pm – Quincy’s Golf and Social
The event offers an opportunity to spend an evening with friends, visit local businesses and support a nonprofit serving members of the community.
