The City of Rockville has announced temporary water service shutdowns affecting portions of Halpine Rd, Halpine Walk Court, and Beall Ave while crews complete neighborhood improvements.
The first shutdown is scheduled for 9am to 5pm Thursday, September 17, at the following addresses:
- Halpine Rd: 5901, 5903, 5905, 5907, 5909, 5911, 5913, 5915, 5916, 5917, 5918, 5919, 5920, 5921, 5922, 5923, 5924, 5925, 5926, 5928, 5930, 5932, 5934, 5936, 5938, 5940, 5942, 5944
- Halpine Walk Court: 202-217, 219, 221
In the event of rain, the work will be rescheduled for 9am to 5pm Friday, September 18.
A separate shutdown will affect 500-545 Beall Ave from 9am to 5pm Tuesday, September 29. The rain date is Wednesday, September 30, during the same hours.
Residents may notice discolored water or air in their lines after service is restored. According to the city, running cold water for a few minutes usually clears discoloration. To remove air, residents should open a faucet on the top floor for one minute, then open other faucets one at a time, working from the highest floor to the lowest.
