Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) Collision Reconstruction Unit detectives are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred early Thursday, September 17, in Gaithersburg.
At approximately 3:41 a.m., MCPD officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the area of Route 355 and Christopher Avenue for a report of a pedestrian struck. Investigators said 34-year-old Jow Dodou of Germantown was crossing Route 355 near Christopher Avenue when he was struck by a brown 2020 Infiniti QX60 traveling southbound.
Dodou was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died from his injuries. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
