OpenTable has released its latest Diners’ Choice list highlighting the “Best Overall” restaurants in its Maryland – DC Suburbs region, with several Montgomery County restaurants making the September list.
According to OpenTable, the selections are based on diner feedback rather than picks made by an editorial staff. The reservation platform says it analyzes nearly 2 million global diner reviews from the previous four months each month, sorting the results by location and category.
“Looking for the best overall restaurants in Maryland – DC Suburbs? You’re in the right place,” OpenTable writes. “Each month, OpenTable analyzes nearly 2 million global diner reviews from the past four months. We sort the results by location and category to help you discover new favorite restaurants.”
The 10 restaurants featured on the current Best Overall list are:
- Il Piccolo Morso – Leonardtown – Italian – 5.0
- Delhi Spice – Bethesda – Indian – 4.9
- Muoi Tieu – Takoma Park – Vietnamese – 5.0
- Manalu Italian Restaurant – Frederick – Italian – 4.8
- Fontina Grille – Rockville – Italian – 4.8
- Mosaic Cuisine – Rockville – French American – 4.8
- The Tasting Room – Frederick – Contemporary American – 4.8
- Cuba de Ayer – Burtonsville – Latin/Spanish – 4.8
- District Bistro – Wheaton – Bistro – 4.7
- Java Nation – North Bethesda – American – 4.8
Seven of the 10 restaurants are located in Montgomery County: Delhi Spice, Muoi Tieu, Fontina Grille, Mosaic Cuisine, Cuba de Ayer, District Bistro and Java Nation.
Il Piccolo Morso and Muoi Tieu each currently show a 5.0 rating on OpenTable. Il Piccolo Morso, an Italian restaurant in Leonardtown, has 597 reviews, while Muoi Tieu, a family-run Vietnamese restaurant in Takoma Park, has 61.
Among the Montgomery County selections, Delhi Spice has a 4.9 rating, while Fontina Grille, Mosaic Cuisine, Cuba de Ayer and Java Nation each show 4.8 ratings. District Bistro has a 4.7 rating.
The list is part of OpenTable’s Diners’ Choice program and can change as new diner reviews are submitted and the platform updates its results each month.
