Live music, local brews, BBQ and a little Halloween fun are taking over the Pike District Pop-up Park when Barks and Brews returns Saturday, October 24, from 4-8 p.m.
In its fifth year, the free fall festival will feature a costume parade and contest for people and pets, a moon bounce, cornhole and photo booth. Festivalgoers can dig into pit-style favorites from Hardy’s BBQ, grab a sweet treat from Bruster’s Ice Cream and enjoy local brews from 7 Locks Brewing and wines from Mazzaroth Vineyard.
Good Vibrations Entertainment DJ kicks off the afternoon followed by the headliner band Ochos des Bastos. As the sun sets, the festival will shift from costumes and games to an outdoor movie night. Guests are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket for a screening of The Haunted Mansion, starring Eddie Murphy, to close out the evening.
“Barks and Brews has become such a fun way to bring our community together and celebrate fall in the Pike District,” said Theresa Cameron, Executive Director of the Pike District Partnership. “Whether you come for the costume contest, bring the kids for the activities, dress up your dog or just want to enjoy local food and drinks and a movie in the park, there really is something for everyone.”
This year’s Barks & Brews is made possible with support from event sponsors Fitzgerald Auto Malls, Woofie’s, Nebel Street Animal Hospital, 4 On The Floor Dog Training and Montgomery County.
