Ride On Bus Routes Resume Normal Service Following Redland Road Reopening

Redland Road has reopened following the completion of bridge replacement work over Mill Creek, according to the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT).

The project included replacing the bridge, relocating WSSC water and sewer infrastructure, improving the roadway at both ends of the bridge, installing new guardrails and curbs, and upgrading stormwater drainage.

With the road reopened, Ride On Bus Routes 53 and 57 have returned to their regular routes after operating on detours during construction.

Although bridge construction is complete, additional work involving Mill Creek stream restoration, landscaping and roadway signage will continue through late November 2026. Drivers may encounter temporary single-lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, while crews transport materials and equipment.
