Rockville-based DAVIS Construction has earned the top spot in a national ranking of internship programs, with its Summer Internship Program named the Best Construction & Trades Internship in Vault’s newly released 2027 Internship Rankings.
Vault’s annual rankings recognize internship programs across more than 30 categories, including Best Overall Internships, Most Prestigious Internships, industry and role-specific rankings, inclusion, and key employment factors.
For the 2027 rankings, Vault surveyed more than 18,000 current and former interns representing more than 240 internship programs. Participants rated their own experiences in areas including quality of life, compensation and benefits, career development, full-time employment prospects, the interview process, inclusion, and culture of acceptance.
Vault’s overall scores place the greatest emphasis on career development, which accounts for 35% of a program’s score. Employment prospects, quality of life, and compensation each account for 20%, while culture of acceptance makes up the remaining 5%.
DAVIS earned the No. 1 ranking in the Best Construction & Trades Internships category.
