STRONG Pilates is targeting an early 2027 opening for its upcoming location in the Kentlands. STRONG Pilates will occupy a portion of the former Party City space in the Kentlands, joining VEG ER for Pets and Wonder in the subdivided storefront.
The fitness concept recently announced the timeframe while promoting its new Gaithersburg studio, stating, “Gaithersburg crew – we’re bringing STRONG Pilates to the neighborhood in early 2027 and we cannot wait to welcome you in!”
Founded in Australia, STRONG Pilates combines Reformer Pilates, strength training and cardio into a 45-minute workout. The company describes its programming as low-impact and high-intensity, with classes led by coaches.
The concept also utilizes proprietary equipment, including the Rowformer, which combines a Pilates reformer with a rowing machine, and the Rideformer, which combines a reformer with a stationary bike.
STRONG Pilates signed on as the third and final tenant for the former Party City space earlier this year. Party City closed the location in early 2025, and the space was subsequently divided into three storefronts.
