Full On Craft Eats & Drink, which operates locations in Rockville and Annapolis, has been selected as Maryland’s representative in Chowhound’s list of the “Best Sandwich Spot in Every State.”
The list is an editorial selection rather than a formal award or reader poll. Chowhound said it searched extensively for highly rated sandwich shops across the country, considering everything from classics like grilled cheese and Reubens to regional specialties.
For Maryland, the publication selected Full On Craft, highlighting the restaurant’s five-star Yelp rating, unique coleslaw, craft beer selection, cocktails and crab cakes. Chowhound also noted that co-owner Michelle Houser Harris appeared on “Hell’s Kitchen” in 2015.
Full On is known for its sandwiches featuring meats roasted in-house, homemade sauces and scratch-made sides. The restaurant also offers soups, onion rings and a rotating selection of regional beer and wine.
Full On opened its current Rockville location at 5566 Norbeck Road in the Rock Creek Village Center in April, taking over the former Creek Lodge Bar & Grill space. The move came after the restaurant closed its longtime location at 4007 Norbeck Road in February.
The restaurant also operates at the Annapolis Harbour Center, where it opened in February 2022 in the former Baja Fresh space. The Chowhound recognition is not the first time Full On has received statewide recognition for its sandwiches. Business Insider previously named Full On Maryland’s best sandwich shop based on Yelp reviews.
