Bojangles Pushes Back Latest Maryland Reopening to November 9

Bojangles has pushed back the reopening of its Upper Marlboro restaurant by one week, with the location now scheduled to reopen on Monday, November 9, instead of the originally announced November 2 date.

The restaurant, located at 7571 SW Crain Highway in Prince George’s County, will reopen under new ownership and management after being closed since 2023.

According to a November 3 announcement, the restaurant will open at 6 a.m. on November 9, offering its signature chicken, made-from-scratch biscuits, all-day breakfast and iced tea. Customers will be able to order inside the restaurant or through the drive-thru.

The location is owned by Brian McDonald and operated by Jay Johnson, who have been preparing the restaurant for its return.

Bojangles, founded in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1977, is known for its Southern-style chicken and biscuits. The chain previously returned to Maryland in September 2024 with the opening of its Frederick restaurant at 1312 W. Patrick Street.
