Lots of fall fun with the kids in Montgomery Parks this weekend! Check out these activities for Friday, October 21, through Sunday, October 23:

Get the kids into their costumes then head to Parks Spooktacular(opens in a new tab) at South Germantown Recreational Park Adventure Playground on Sunday, October 23, 10 am to 1 pm, for free Halloween activities and entertainment.
Go Fishing with the Li’l Ones(opens in a new tab) at Black Hill Regional Park on Friday, October 21, at 10 am. Best for ages three to six. All equipment and bait supplied. Register, please.

Children ages eight and older can learn fire starting techniques at Campfire 101 (opens in a new tab)on Saturday, October 22, 10 am, at Brookside Nature Center. Bring a snack to roast or toast. Sign up required.

Step into the past with a free guided tour of Oakley Cabin(opens in a new tab) at Oakley Cabin African American Museum and Park on Saturday, October 22, 12 pm to 4 pm. Learn about the historic home and its residents from the mid-nineteenth through twentieth century.

Trek on the guided Woodlawn Manor Underground Railroad Hike(opens in a new tab) on Saturday, October 22, 10 am, and learn about the journey north of freedom seekers. Find out about their techniques used for navigating, eluding detection, and finding food and shelter. Register in advance or get tickets onsite. Best for ages seven and older.
