City of Gaithersburg Launches Strategic Plan Public Dashboard

The City has launched an online performance dashboard that allows residents to follow progress on the City’s five-year Strategic Plan. The new public dashboard provides transparent reporting on key performance data and will help residents understand the City’s goals and how they will be addressed. The dashboard will be updated on a quarterly basis. Explore the dashboard here. The color-coded dashboard is designed like a traffic light to give a quick visual display of the progress in each of the nine Strategic Outcome Areas:
  • Safe and Welcoming Community
  • Vibrant Culture
  • Economic Development and Redevelopment
  • Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability
  • Equitable Outcomes
  • Viable Transportation Options
  • Fiscal Responsibility
  • Great Place to Work
  • Excellent City Services and Facilities

Through a collaborative process involving elected officials, employees, and stakeholders throughout the community, the Strategic Plan was designed to reflect the City’s collective long-term goals and the actions needed in order to achieve them. Each Outcome Area consists of one or more actionable strategies that reflect numerous activities, programs and projects that are carried out across all City departments.
