Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) were called to the scene of a fire at a single family home on the 10800 block of Brickyard Ct., near Falls Rd., in Potomac at approximately 10:16pm on Wednesday night.
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, approximately 65 firefighters were on the scene battling the heavy fire that was showing upon arrival. The occupants of the home discovered the entire large rear deck on fire and evacuated
safely. A family of two adults, two children, and a guest, has been displaced. Damage is estimated to be at $3 million. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
