Clarksburg High School Student Ambassadors Provide 60 Thanksgiving Dinners to Families in Need

Clarksburg High School student Ambassadors provided 60 Thanksgiving dinners to families in need in Clarksburg and Germantown.

The Ambassadors fundraised for the past several weeks to reach their goal of purchasing these 60 dinners and donating them to families a little less fortunate. These families were identified by Clarksburg High School and Rocky Hill Middle School as families that could use a little extra help during the holidays.

This is an annual service project for Clarksburg Ambassadors – they have been coordinating this service project for the past 7 years to give back to their community by supporting those in need. This project always generates excitement and energy from the Ambassadors as they know they are really helping their fellow students and their families.

The Clarksburg Ambassadors is a student led leadership club at Clarksburg High School. It is made up of 50 juniors and seniors who perform several service projects within the school and our community. “These student leaders understand the importance of giving back to the community,” said their faculty sponsor Teak Bassett. “They understand that through their collective strength they can truly make a difference in their school and their community. I am very proud of their hard work and dedication in the Thanksgiving dinner drive.”
