The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC) recently noted via social media that it will be waiving all adoption fees for all animals until further notice. The full notice can be seen below:
“In response to the current population crisis we are facing, we have decided to WAIVE all adoption fees for ALL ANIMALS until further notice!
The Office of Animal Services is committed to helping every Montgomery County animal in need. But never turning an animal away means that we need ample open kennels to keep saving lives.
This is where you come in! When you adopt from MCASAC, you not only give a homeless pet a loving family of their own, but you also create much-needed space for us to help more animals in need.
In hopes of finding more pets loving homes, and caring for the countless more who will find themselves needing us soon, every single animal will have a $0 adoption fee until further notice.”
