Introducing Our Interns for the Fall Semester!


Daniel Garay
A lifelong MoCo resident, Daniel graduated with a B.A. in from American University in Washington, DC and currently works as a communications & technology manager for a local public accounting firm. Prior to that, Daniel worked as an operations manager for a local law practice and as a staff assistant for two local political campaigns. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys sports, talking politics, and reading/writing about the world around him.

Amy Lusignan
After working her way through the MoCo public school system, Amy graduated this year from Northwood High School. She’s looking forward to attending the University of Leeds next year for a joint honors degree of history and English. During her gap year she is enjoying biking, reading, and video games.


Tom Merritt
A lifelong MoCo resident, Tom graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase HS and currently attends Union College in Schenectady, NY. In his free time, Tom enjoys playing lacrosse and tennis, as well as eating at different fast casual restaurants on Rockville Pike.


Alicia Clanton
Alicia Clanton is a sophomore at Elon University in North Carolina. Raised in Montgomery County, she graduated from Blake High School in 2019. In her spare time, Alicia enjoys crafting, skateboarding, and spending time outdoors.


Adam Levine
Adam Levine, a recent Sherwood HS graduate and MoCo native, is taking a gap year before attending Yale University. He grew up in Brookeville, but now lives in Bethesda, and is currently working as a receptionist at a dental office. Outside of journalism, Adam loves television, YouTube, video games, singing and theatre.
