Gaithersburg Police responded to reports of a shooting Monday evening in Gaithersburg.
According to a Gaithersburg Police Department spokesperson, “On Monday, January 8, 2024 at 6:16 p.m., officers from the Gaithersburg Police Department responded to the Park & Ride located in the 400 block of Quince Orchard Road for the report of shooting that just occurred.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a group of individuals met at the Park & Ride when a disagreement occurred. Multiple suspects brandished handguns and more than one shot was fired in the direction of the victim. At that time, the suspects fled the scene. There were no injuries reported.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
