Bethesda fine-dining staple Duck Duck Goose was replaced by new concept Good Ducking Burger at 7929 Norfolk Ave. in September. The restaurant is now closed, following the expiration of the lease at the location, according to owner/operator Ashish Alfred.
Alfred tells us that his lease was up and that he couldn’t come to terms with the landlord regarding a few repairs with the plumbing and the roof that forced him to close the restaurant early some nights. He also tells us that the space was used to pilot Good Ducking Burger and that the feedback he received was so good that he plans to open a new location in Montgomery County at some point in the future. He will actively be looking for new spaces.
Duck Duck Goose is described as a fast-casual American burger joint with an Indian twist. It focuses on American classics like burgers, chicken and fries… all with a nod to Alfred’s Indian heritage. A look at the restaurant can be seen below.
