DIG (formerly Dig Inn) is coming soon to Maryland as it plans to open a restaurant at 4733 Elm St. in Bethesda. DIG will be opening in the space that was most recently home to Mexicue until 2022 and previously home to Gusto Farm to Street until 2020 and Kraze Burger until 2014.
DIG’s seasonal menu is scratch-cooked and features fresh salads and market plates curated by their in-house chefs. The menu is rotated regularly, highlighting the freshest vegetables of the season and also offers house-made sandwiches, bowls, fresh-baked focaccia, kids’ options and a selection of desserts. You can build our own salad r bowl, add an a la carte side like roasted sweet potatoes or the Jasper Hill mac and cheese (Jasper Hill three-cheese blend, Ithaca milk, whole-wheat pasta with crispy panko breadcrumbs).
The restaurant was founded by Adam Eskin in 2011. Dig’s restaurant was opened in New York City in 2011, then-known as Dig Inn. As of this past summer, the chain had 32 restaurants in New York City, Brooklyn, Rye Brook, Stamford, Philadelphia, Bridgewater, Boston, and Washington, DC. An opening date is not yet available, but construction is ongoing according to a report by Robert Dyer.
