Group of Four to Five Suspects Allegedly Commit Three Armed Robberies and an Armed Carjacking Within a 30 to 40 Minute Period Tuesday Night 

According to Montgomery County Police, “On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, beginning at approximately 7:29 p.m., MCPD officers received multiple calls for the reports of armed robberies in the area of University Blvd. and Piney Branch Rd.

The preliminary on scene investigation determined that a group of approximately four to five Black male suspects allegedly committed three armed robberies and an armed carjacking within a 30 to 40 minute period.

In the 500 block of Domer Ave., officers received a call for an armed carjacking. Officers determined that the suspects were attempting to carjack the victim, when a witness, in a separate car, intervened. The suspects shot at the witness car and all parties both drove away from the scene.

Officers observed the cars in the area of Piney Branch Rd., where the suspects again shot at the witness car.

Officers followed both cars and they were last seen in the area of University Blvd., near 495.

The suspect vehicle is described as a Black SUV, with possible paper registration plates.

No suspects are in custody. No injuries have been reported. This is an active and ongoing investigation.”
